I need to revamp the socket set I carry in my toolbag for work. It doesn’t get used a lot, but when I need it, there isn’t really a substitute. Also need to keep the weight down as the bag is heavy enough already.

I’ve got both 1/4″ and 3/8″ drive sockets. There are 2 sizes of drives because a couple of the sockets are actually bit holders and I’d rather not use an adapter (adds sloppiness).

Been looking at something like this:

This particular model is extendable, which could come in handy for more torque when needed, but that feature might add some sloppiness of its own.

Anyone have any experience with these things? Any tips or recommendations?
