    Hey all,

Just as a preamble to my first post:

I found this forum just a couple of weeks ago, when I found myself needing and thinking about PENCILS for the first time in a l-o-n-g time (50 years?).
And it has been a light speed “back to the future” journey of catching up and learning.
Including a really nice little Zen “wood pencil experience.”
Which I don’t have time for now.
But I would like to say… what a great forum, and thanks to all the contributors.

But for right now, I sure would love to ask one pretty focused question:

Can anyone give me information and/or recommendations on “twist erase” mechanical pencils.
Or actually… any “one hand erase” pencil, be it twist or otherwise.

    For example:
I don’t like ball point pens with caps.
Takes two hands to put them into operation.
Then there’s that loose cap that always gets lost.
Give me a clicker any time!

So, I was thinking… a mechanical pencil with that little cap over the eraser represents the same thing to me. Takes two hands, little cap rolls off the desk, etc.

So I started looking for alternatives.

The one pencil that jumps out right quick in my searching around is the Pentel Twist Erase III.

But surely there are others. Aren’t there?

And if so, then of course you get into the “other qualities” of the pencils.

    So… what say you all?

Got any favorite “one hand erase” or “capless” pencils?

    Thanks everyone!

    James

P.S. Items currently in production, where I can just go somewhere-click-order, are sure eazy-peasy. But I’m not bad at scrounging up out of production stuff. So if “my pencil” is out there somewhere but not still being made lemme know that too.
