I was so excited to get a Black Kaweco Skyline Sport in the post only to find it will hardly write. It hard starts and skips to the point of hardly writing at all. I have soaked it overnight, flushed it and used both a converter and the cartridge that it came with to try and fix the problem. I’ve read this pen can have all sorts of nib problems and was hoping to test run this one before purchasing the Al Sport version.

I’m now looking at the Pilot Vanishing Point for reliability. I have a metro and it’s my favourite pen.

I am in discussions with jetpens to either get a new nib or send it back I guess. Just gutted really.

Anyone else had this problem? Anyone had any problems with the vanishing point?
