I am on the verge of purchasing one or the other of these two fountain pens (Medium nib) that I have narrowed my choices down to. I am fascinated with the iconic Lamy 2000 based on its reputation and popularity. But I have read some mixed reviews regarding Lamy QC and would be upset if there was a problem with it after dropping that kind of money on it. The Pilot Custom 74 (demonstrator) also interests me and I have experience with the Pilot nibs because of my Vanishing Points. Does anyone own either one or both (even better) that can offer an informed opinion?
