I work in automotive launch engineering and split my time between my office and the shop floor.
I’m constantly taking notes, marking up CAD layouts, sketching plans and working in Excel files on my iPad. I often carry a Bic 4-colour pen so that I have multiple colour options in a single pen. This works ok, but the pen is thicker than I like and somewhat cheap feeling/looking. Sometimes establishing an impression with a Plant Manager or design engineer is important.
Today I discovered the existence of the Cross Tech 3+. A stylish high quality pen that has black ink, red ink, a mechanical pencil and stylus in a single package?!?
I found one on sale locally and spent the rest of the day at my desk cycling it through its settings. With a 1/4 twist of the barrel it snicks from one option to the next with a very satisfying “switchblade-like” action.
I’ll post some pics soon, just wondered if anybody else had some long term experience with one of these?
