Hopefully this is in the right subforum, we really don’t have a ‘Transportation’ subforum.

So I live about two miles from a DC metro stop in Virginia but despite by job being right on top of a metro stop in DC, I never use it because I hate taking the bus (other than the ends, you mostly can’t park at DC metros). I work shift work, often very early mornings and late nights and as I can’t carry in DC or at work, I’d have to be out there in the dark waiting for a bus to the metro. Now I live in a very safe area and, to be honest, I’m a big black guy in the very white neighborhood so I’m just about the last person someone is going to mess with but, being from the deep South, I still feel naked without my gun.

So I just ordered this: The Vomo Scooter (tried to linky but EDCForum’s lineblocker software won’t let me)

I can get to the metro in less than 15 minutes on my own time, take it to work, put it in my locker, do the reverse coming home.

Another benefit is that, with literally 4 exemptions, I do most all my regular business and pleasure within 5 miles of my place (range, buddy’s house, beer store, work) so I’m thinking I’m going to save a huge amount of wear and tear on my car. Also there are more cars then spaces in my apartment complex and you’re not getting a spot after 6pm so I wouldn’t have to worry about parking on the street either.

Anyway, my problem now is this: I work in transportation and constantly use a 22 inch rolling suitcase…anyone knows a good one with comfortable backpack straps? Preferably one where the rollers aren’t against my back and dirtying up my shirt?
