The rubber tail cap on my Klarus broke and the company has not responded to emails about warranty service, so I want to avoid this brand going forward. Unfortunately, the XT1C has the perfect interface for what I’m looking for, because the mode button is on the tail next to the main button. This allows instant strobe access and one-handed mode switching.
Here’s what I need in a light:
* A tactical light to pair with my CCW and to carry at night.
* Small for pocket carry, but high lumen. I think the (1) CR123 lights are about the right mix.
* Nothing twisty.
* I want to avoid side switches as well, because I shouldn’t have to change my grip to access the mode button.
* A few brightness levels and strobe preferred.
Does anybody know of a light that meets these requirements? If not, can you talk me into a different interface? Be advised I really don’t like anything twisty. The fact that it relies on loosening something that ought to be screwed in tightly just really goes against my OCD tendencies, and I’m always worried that it will twist itself in my pocket. Not to mention that it calls for two hands.
Thanks in advance if anyone knows of something!
