I recently scored a second hand GR1 for cheap, due to it having some light staining on one side. I think some toothpaste or cleaning products with bleach got spilled. It was years ago, so won’t become holes. The previous owner washed, then dry cleaned it, so I just coloured them in with a black sharpie.

I’m very happy with it, slightly heavy but reassuringly tough and very comfortable.

My question is has anyone removed the velcro 2×3″ patch from the bag? I’m hoping for a clean look, but don’t want the pattern of little holes if they are noticeable.

My guess is most 1000D Cordura is the same, so any experience with this welcomed.
