i have a Magellan 1440 roadmate which died during a map update the other day. now when i power on i get a fatal application error message and it wont continue to boot.

the full error is:

application mgnshell.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. if the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

i’ve googled this and cant find a fix. i’ve got an email into magellan but havent heard back yet.

you guys are tech nerds….what do i do???
