I know this isn’t an EMT-related forum but my chances of getting feedback on some sites is more likely the same as how airsofters are frowned upon by SpecOps community. I’m more confident to get decent advice from fellow members here so I’m taking a shot at it.
I know there are a few Docs/EMS/EMT brothers (and sisters?) out here. I was wondering if you can help me out.
This coming 27 June, there is a course opening for a First Responder course near my area and I’m looking forward to take it. I’d love to take EMT-B courses but (1) it’s not my day job, (2) I may not get to practice what I learn full-time, and (3) way off my budget.
The course fee covers books, exams, and online content but they need us to prepare for our own stuff. I was wondering if you can help me on these areas:
- Steth / Manual BP – Amazon reviews are no help. Any decent brands? Looking at something around $30 to $40 for both.
- Supplementary Learning websites – I really don’t know what to start looking into…
- Tips to prepare for the practical exam – nothing beats real life, practical experience
- Anything else I should prepare for?
Any directions on this are highly appreciated.
