THis last Christmas I picked up a pair of leather-lined Blundstones and about 2 months ago I bought a pair of Timberland light hikers. both brands have previously given me excellent shoes, so I figured I’d keep up the good run (so to speak). well, the Blundstones are horrible. despite being billed as the ultimate in all-day comfort, the leather lining on the inside of the heel area makes the boots stiff and uncomfortable. after even minimal walking, my achilles heel aches. The Timberlands wore out in the ankle area within the first month. underneath the inside material is stiff plastic which now makes the shoes almost unwearable.
I did write to both companies; Blundstone gave me the courtesy of a reply, Timberland did not. being as how I sunk over $250 into both shoes I probably won’t buy Timberland again, or at least I’ll buy from MEC, who guarantees all products they sell. Blundstone I will have to be more choosy with.
It really disappointed me as I was a huge fan of both companies.
