    ASUS Memo Pad Tablet 7.0 ME172V-1B061A 16GB 1Ghz
    or
    Samsung Galaxy Tab3 7.0 WiFi 8GB 1.2Ghz

Both are on Christmas sale here. For 99$ respectively 125$. If you know any low budget alternatives let me know.

I’ve had my nexus 7 for almost a year now and I have never once thought it be as a bad idea. I can sit on it all day browsing the web and only worry about the battery after about 8 solid hours of use. Charges slow but lasts forever. Its made by ASUS so if you can’t get a nexus I would suggest the memo pad. However idk how many tablets yet have the capability to use the on the go cable like the nexus so I can use my mouse and hard drives with my tablet which makes it extremely versatile.

I guess both of these have a mini-usb.

Nexus 7 or Note would be my first choices. Not familiar with the Asus but our reps sell the Tab 3 all day long at work and I have yet to have one come back to me with a problem. Definitely add a micro sd card for more storage. Preferably at least class 10 and as big as you can afford. I am using a 64 Gig in my Note 3. If it will work with the 128’s when they launch I will upgrade to one of those.

I have a Tab 3 4g. Same thing you are looking at but with a Sim Card. I would recommend looking at AT&T or Verizon version. I got my tab for $99 and it only adds $10 a month to my bill.

My 2012 Nexus 7 is terrific; straightforward Android interface, latest version, great battery life. The only tablet I can imagine liking better would be the 2013 update.

sent using CPIP (see RFC 1149)

Nexus 7 gen 2, I know it’s more but well worth it. From what I have read the 7 inch Galaxy tab does not have Gorilla glass. That’s alot of screen to scratch up without it. Micro USB

The Asus if must be between those two, FYI Asus builds all the Nexus tablets at this time. The plus side to getting a Nexus version is they have no bloatware added to android and run it as it was designed. It’s first for OS updates without rooting, better app integration and less headaches overall. Walmart has the (2012)16gb on sale for $159 online at this time.

Forgive my ignorance if you’re referring to something else but if you want to keep the glass scratch free then add something like invisible shield or bodyguardz screen protector.
It seems the Nexus 7 Gen2 gets great reviews in its class. I purchased a Tab3 7″ for my mom for Christmas & a Tab 3 8″ for my son. I haven’t test it neither yet but I own a Tab 3 10″ Note which is great.
