Just a reminder, one that I wish I would have given myself recently.

Check the expiration on those OTC meds before you buy.

A week or so ago, I went to national pharmacy chain (CVS) to stock up on some OTC meds. I didn’t think to check the expiration dates because they had obviously just restocked the shelves and the hanging hooks were overflowing with stuff fresh from the warehouse.

When I got home and unpacked, I noticed that the meds were set to expire in 6 months. Wondering if this was typical, a couple of days later when I happened to be in a Target, I checked the dates on their products and they were all good for over a year.

I don’t mind replacing these things annually, but every 6 months seems to me to be a waste.
