I’m sure this has been beaten to death already, but I’m wanting to assemble a small first aid kit for trips through the local park (a rather painful scrap reminded me I should look into something). While my pockets are rather full as-is, I’m looking for something that would fit into a rather small container, like a Magellan water-proof pouch I found here at the house.

This pouch is 4.5×3.75 inches, and I’m hoping to keep it down slim enough to easily fit in a hip pocket.

Other than the obvious band-aids, antiseptic/saline wipes, and maybe a little atheletic tape wrapped around something thin (old credit/discount card?), what else might fit into this little container? It may well be wrapped in a bandana, and I doubt I will be very far from other people (~5 miles end to end), but having something for an occastional “Awww, ****!” is always nice.

On a related note, while I do have some (read: I had some, but may have forgotten it due to lack of use) training, I’m wondering where might be the best places to look for some more serious training/education
