Ive been looking through this for a little and I think its time for me to actually ask now…First, I have two bags..One is a Maxpedition Monsoon Gearslinger and the other one is the 5.11 Rush 24.

This bag I will be using on Motorcycle rides so the type of injuries that we have had is major lacerations/punctures/major bleeding is probably the GEarslinger. Broken bones I know that I really cant do much about. My biggest concern is that I know emergency personnel are on the way but the response time is my concern. I believe this kit could double as a work kit also (law enforcement – officer down type stuff) It would also probably double as my everyday bag in the car also. So, the bag I would have all this stuff in would be a vertical bag to mount on the side of my Gearslinger (any recommendations would be great)

I KNOW I am not a medic and Im not going to pretend that I am. Basically, this stuff would be used in a oh :censored: moment..Im concerned about size..I cant use anything too big

I start with the standrd stuff
    gloves
    CPR mask
    few plasters
    small pads

A way to support broken limbs would be handy, tape could do this
then a couple of larger pads.

I’ve not had to treat any big wounds on motorcyclists as the only crash I saw was low speed and the guy was wearing full protective gear, with push bikes on the road I’ve ended up using 20cm square pads though, I think the military dressings are easier to pack in a small kit then some of the ambulance dressigns I’ve had (they were about 7inches wide even when packed

Yeah. Usually it is. Weve had a couple where weve had a couple puncture. Some guy was wearing sneakers and shorts and lowsided. The foot peg went through his calf. Other minor stuff but we did loose a friend on one ride I wasn’t on. It was bad. I definitely have the gloves and looking for a CPR mask. Hmm..

I would take first aid classes. All of the first aid gear in the world wont help you at all if you do not know how to properly use it. That being said if you dont know advanced first aid I would just have some big gaze patches and medical tape. Along with first aid for small cuts and such. Waiting for ems can sometimes is safer than doing more harm trying to fix yourself before they come.

I have been watching Nutnfancy’s videos.

I am unsure how he has time to work, feed his family, make videos, etc…

    Overwhelming Im sure.

Anyways he has a 5 part series about first aide.

Check it out. This is a link to his part 1 for level 2 FA kit. it is 5 parts. He has alot of good stuff in there. Enjoy!
