When I saw this thing, I just had to have it. I’ve actually used it several times, mostly because its small enough to ride in my EDC bag and never be noticed, although, most of the time, I’m only using half of it to attach my Nexus 4 to any standard tripod. It does a good job of holding the phone too, while still giving access to all the buttons. I could have bought that part separately, but I do like the option of the included tripod, it that is less than half the bulk of the tiny package.

Like I mentioned, I have a Nexus 4 and I don’t run a case of any kind on it, but the jaws of the… phone holder thingy? do expand wide enough to accommodate most cases or a slightly larger phone (though NOT a Galaxy Note).

I’m not sure what this thing is primarily made out of, but its not plastic, it’s some kind of metal. The quality looks/feels good but the price IS pretty crazy and I looked everywhere for a lower price. I ended up getting it at Fry’s locally for ~$23!

Anyway, I’m not sure if this is the best section for this post or not, but I knew if anybody could understand why I spent $20+ on this thing, they would frequent this forum. :)

Oh, there is a hole in this that could accommodate a key ring; I would say its a little big/awkward for a key ring, but I could totally see having a clip on it to clip onto a camera bag.

EDIT: Forgot the Amazon link. I see its a few bucks less now…
