I was at the Bass Pro Shop earlier today (pro tip: don’t visit the BPS on the Saturday before Christmas – you’re welcome) with my brother. He’s getting some gift wrapping done by the entrance. He then gets the idea to pull out his iPhone and take a picture of the stuffed critters above the door. He lifts both arms up holding up his phone. He reaches skyward and “TING, TING, TING” as his guns bounces around the ground! I’m laughing my  off while he quickly scoops it up and puts it in his jacket. Yes, some people around saw it and stared. Especially the folks doing the gift wrapping. Happily, the BPS is a very gun friendly place. My brother was perturbed to say the least. He ordered a pretty sweet custom Kydex holster for his new FN-S 9mm, but was trying to get by with the Uncle Mike’s. The belt clip obviously leaves much to be desired. Anyway, I had a big chuckle and felt oh so superior to big brother with my Comp-Tac IWB where my still hidden Walther P99 was sitting quietly. Word to the wise: pick your holster (and belt I might add) carefully. I told him that he should consider the fanny pack until he gets his new holster in.
