KeymasterI got in to EDC with a pocket knife first and then when I was looking to expand into a pack it was basically to hold my geek stuff. You know, iPad Mini 3 WiFI+Celluar and 3DS (gotta rack up them Streetpasses.) I was wondering if there was much of a gamer following in this forum. I sometimes leave the DS in exchange for a Vita.

KeymasterNot EDC, but if I’m going somewhere where I might have to wait awhile (doctor, car service) I sometimes stick my DS in my bag.
Solitaire and Risk can make a wait easier.September 29, 2025 at 7:31 am #27044admin

KeymasterI don’t think there was a time I ever wanted to play games while I was out and about. Sure there are times I would be bored out of my mind if I wasn’t the one doing the shopping. I have a DSLite, but never bring that as a dedicated, out the house, gaming device (I don’t EDC a bag). Like most said, I have games on my phone. The phone is just convenient without taking up pocket space I don’t have. I also feed off of free wifi, so if there is no wifi, that’s the end of the world for me.

KeymasterI only play some games on my smartphone. I like these old school retro 8-bit games haha like “Fisherman’s Horizon”, “Pixel Dungeon” or “Lumber Jacked”.

KeymasterAs many of the above; I have lots of games on my phone….
However, whenever i wanna play action-ish games where real physical buttons are a must i usually bring out the PSP-fat! I have many many NES/SNES games on there and those are a freaking awesome play on the psp.

KeymasterI’ve got a raspberry pi loaded with piplay and a couple ps3 controllers I take every time I travel. New Pi2 finally handles psx/n64 games so even more fun

KeymasterNot much of a gamer here, but what little I do, I do on my tablet now. The batteries last longer on my tablet and I don’t have to drain the battery on my smartphone. Once upon a time I wanted a PSP so very bad. Now we have iPads/tablets and smartphones.

Click to expand…Doe it! Buy an old PSP!… they are like what 40 bucks now used? Great for playing mario and no biggy if it falls in the pool or under a train or whatever. Good fun!

KeymasterRight now its just my phone. I do have a DSLite that has been sitting around for awhile. The only real game I have for it is Chrono Trigger, cause its the best RPG of all time. Should jump back on that

KeymasterNot much of a gamer but I do like some “old school” games. And since I’m in Vegas and I can’t fit a slot machine in my bag, this has had to do.
