From February 5, 2019 all free Flickr accounts will be restricted to 1k pictures and if the account has any pictures over that amount they will be permanently deleted.
If you want to go over the 1k limit or want to keep your photos you will have to move to a paid account.
If you don’t want to pay for an account then you will need to download your photos (from oldest to newest) before the cutoff date.

I guess the days of truly free picture hosting are gone. Granted, 1,000 free pictures is pretty good, but a lot of people probably have more than that on their phone!
I keep wondering if I need to buy some space on a cloud.
