I just picked up a new digital camera for EDC, a Panasonic DMC-LZ3. It’s a little large for EDC, but it was inexpensive ($65 + s/h) and it uses AA batteries (my “standard” for EDC).
I’m probably going to keep a set of alkaline or lithium batteries in it so it’s ready when I need it, but also have a pair of lithium-ions and a charger available if I’m going to do some serious picture-taking.
Question is: has anyone had any good experiences with compact chargers for Li-ions? Preferably one where the AC plug folds out from the case and plugs directly into the outlet (no separate wall-wart).
I have a Kodak EasyShare w/dock and a separate wall charger from Kodak (Kodak battery packs as well) and the batteries/chargers have been a constant aggravation. From day one I’ve never been able to get them to take a full charge. I finally gave up and started using NiMh batteries and just accepted the fact that there’d be lot of recharging involved.
