I bought this Condor T&T pouch a while back to expand a Goruck Echo by attaching it to the external PALS. It worked OK but I’ve since sold the bag and haven’t used the pouch since. I decided to try turning it into a headphone case/travel pouch and it seems like it’s going to work great!
I have a pair of inexpensive noise canceling over the ear headphones and it has a nice hard case, but the case seems a bit bulky and also doesn’t work for anything else other than holding the headphones.
On the outside I cut off the zipper pulls and put my own on there. Also removed the straps for attaching to PALS (these come right off, they aren’t attached to the bag in any way) and cut off two little Velcro tabs that I guess are just redundant security in the event that the zipper breaks?

On the inside I also chopped the zipper and added my own pull. In the zipper compartment I keep a deck of cards, pack of gum and travel Kleenex pack. The plethora of elastic bands inside are perfect for holding my iPod, the RCA cable that goes from the headphones to the iPod and spare batteries (by the way I’ve flown about 15 times this year and haven’t had to change the batteries once, which is cool). The headphones themselves just fit nicely loose inside.

Finally I added two large-ish s-biners to the d-clips on the outside of the bag so I can hang it from the seatback pocket on the plane.
