I mean, car makers do it. Home builders. Furniture companies too. Benchmade.
Why not offer a web-based, pick-yer-poison program whereas you could “configure” your own SAK….tools, scales etc. online, and after waiting a while have it show up in your mailbox? Right now only a handful of modders do this, but to a lesser, and more exclusive extent. Not for everybody price and avaiability-wise.
Of course the configuration possibilities and conflicts would be dealt with during the ordering process with “this cant work with that” issues being greyed-out if you tried to add them. These days it isnt brain surgery, thats what programmers do….
Would you? I sure would.
Id order a 91 mm, 2 blades, lg scissors, corkscrew, awl, tweeze/pick and pen. (Basically a Compact without the hook or combo tool)
What say you? Yes, what would it be?
No? Why not?
