KeymasterI purchased my first bag online on 12/7/14 and received on 12/9/14, the reason I got my bag was after my wife received one to use as a purse, I liked the look and utility of the bag. While carrying an empty Nalgene 32oz bottle using the shock cord, one of the shock cord loops ripped. I ordered a replacement on 12/15/14 from the online retailer.
The replacement arrived on 12/19/14. I didn’t use the shock cord for anything. On 1/3/15, I went to move the bag out of the way, one of my fingers caught on the shock cord and again, one of the loops holding the shock cord rips out.
I’ve had two of the bags fail in less then a month in the same area. I’m not sure if the bags I got were from a bad batch or if this is a failure point on all these bags.
I was also disappointed in how the company handled my email about the failure rate of their bags. They said to send them the bag on my dime with the warranty claim because the bag shouldn’t fail and a new one would fix the issue. I felt as if they just looked at the picture and gave a preformed reply. I opted to get a full refund from the online retailer I purchased the bag from.
Because of the customer service and two bag failures within a 30 day period, I have to give this bag a big thumbs down.
Disclaimer: My wife’s bag has been perfect. She uses it everyday and attached her key chain to the shock cord without issue.
I’ve attached a picture of the point of failure on the second bag, I don’t have pictures of the first bag.
