SubCom Black counterfeit model. This one has been around for years now, and it pisses me off because the people who make these fakes use not only the Boker Plus Logo, but MY logo as well. Rod Bremer of CRKT was the first I knew of that had this problem with this form of “flattery”. They were copying the logo’s of CRKT, designer’s logo and packaging to the exact, with a slight variance in colors used on their fake packaging. I have seen 5.11 tactical, Spyderco, BM, etc copies floating about as well.

It gets to me because I see these fake SubCom’s sold on amazon, and people think they are getting a real Boker Plus, CLB Design SubCom. Of course the reviews suck, thumbstuds falling off, screws falling out, etc and that reflects on Boker and myself. There was a guy on YouTube who did a review on the fake and actually apologized to me on behalf of whoever makes these fakes, and ends his vid throwing it into the rubbish can. Said fake wears a poorly done G10 scale, clip was done in a negative backwards manner, missing blade jimping, and if ya look closely, my logo is written as: “CLB DesiOn”. REAL SubCom Black ONLY wears a ComboEdge…easiest way to tell if it’s real.

There’s also a fake Hyper, although not copied as much as my design in terms of size, and logo use. It’s actually shrunk down, and uses a liner lock and aluminum scales. Still…it is my design, and wears the Boker Plus logo, even copied the Boker Plus box…Fake has a black blade.

Maybe i should have posted this in the Breakroom’s “Mildly upset and angry” thread.
