Both my office (stainless steel Citizen analog) and my weekend (anodized brass Timex Expedition analog) died within a month of each other. The only remaining functional watch I have is my dress watch, and that’s way to formal for anything but that doesn’t involve a tie or a tuxedo. It costs more to repair the watches then it does to replace them, so I’m in the market for replacements. Since I had not anticipated both going belly up at the same time, I need replacements that won’t break the bank.
Weekend watch: basic digital (time, date, some sort of timer function) with 100M or better water resistance, resin/plastic case, back lit, <$40 USD. The ability to use 20mm NATO straps and easy battery replacement is a plus.
Office watch: Conservative metal analog with date and time, 50M or better water resistance, back lit or glow in the dark markings, and <$90 USD. I’m partial to a stainless finish, low profile (field watch vs divers watches), a black or blue dial, either all numbers or a combination of numbers and dots on the dial face.
TIA,
