KeymasterWell, I went ahead and ordered a Citizen Eco-Drive AT0200-05E1 Chronograph, have had it about 2.5 weeks now.
I had thought I wouldn’t like the canvas band on it, and some reviews had the sizing as funny (because of the grommets in the holes are so big, I bet). So I ordered some NATO bands for it… Turns out that band is black leather lined, extremely comfortable, and the hole spacing is a Perfect fit for me!
But, I went ahead and tried the canvas NATOs, and they’re nice too, but I prefer the stock one to them. But, I got a leather NATO thats fabulous! Will have it on the watch for a while. Very comfortable, lots of adjustment (could wear it over my glove cuffs/coat when outside..), and just looks so classy and rugged.
Not sure of the buckle ending up on the side of my wrist, instead of opposite the watch. So, I arranged it so that it is on the ‘inner’ or thumb side of my arm; more protection from snagging the buckle area on something(That reason also a bonus of wearing the watch itself on the inside of my wrist where its more comfortable).
Love the watch itself too. I thought the thickness would be annoying at first, but I hardly noticed it. Its also very light, surprisingly so for a steel case. Keeps accurate time so far, and seems to keep a charge fine too(no charge meter… my only dislike of the model, but with a 5 month reserve charge, I won’t be worrying about it). Chrono works great. Was a bit unnerving the first day till, I got used to the main second hand not moving… The small second dial is the one that runs all the time, so at a fast glance the watch seemed to be stopped- got used to it though, no prob now.
Love the Lume on it, 30 seconds charge with my flashlight(Jetbeam BC10 on low) and I can still read it 2.5+ hours later, in pitch black. In the firs 15 minutes, I can illuminate things with the watch, up to 6in. away… stuff is bright!
I love it, and am very happy with the purchase. Its a nice investment in my future, should have it for a looong time if its half as durable as I think it will be.
Anyway, I’ll stop rambling, and show the pics;
