And I don’t mean truck gun, one by the door of the house, etc? I see Intagram pics of these folded up ARs, pistol caliber carbines, KRISS vectors, etc and I’m wondering if anyone, honestly, actually carries something like this regularly. I even went so far as to get a law folder on my SBR and throw it in my backpack, but it’s heavy, pokes me in the spine, and I don’t keep it on me.
I typically have a 16″ AR in a 5.11 discreet case in the truck, and I plan on traveling with something similar on my upcoming vacation. But I can’t see strapping that on to go to the grocery store or hoof my kid to a doctors appointment or out to eat.
I’m all for firepower and bringing enough gun. I’m wondering if this can honestly be done, or do people fall back on the easy/familiar? I shoot 1911s well, but carrying them is heavy and gets old. I default to a shield because it’s just easier for me to always do. I’m guilty of it, I know it.
I’m thinking along these lines because I like the idea of more range and capacity, and a folding something (keltec, LAW on a pistol, scorpion, etc) seems to be cheaper and easier to come by then they used to be.
