After buying my Zebra F-701 I started looking at reviews. A bunch of people said that after a while the clicker goes. I was like “NAAAAA”.
I clicked that pen 50 to 100 times a day at work for months. And now….the clicker went bad. Sometimes I clicked it open and the tip went right out and back in. Other times i click to close it and it stays open. I then proceed to place it in my polo and draw on my undershirt.
So I just assumed it was done. I only made it through like 2 ink cartridges. So I picked up a Pilot G-2 0.7 and kept on with my life.
But it felt so unresolved. So, being bored at work I took the pen apart and started analyzing it. After a while, I thought it could be a friction issue. I lubricated the plastic mechanism inside and put it all back together. AND IT WORKED AGAIN. The color returned to my life. The sun shined a little brighter. haha.
I don’t take stuff apart often. I am terrified to take a knife apart. So I’m kinda proud of this.
Has anyone else personally had this issue?
And if so what where your methods for fixing it…besides replacing it.
