so along with AL Sport, i ordered new clips. the old fashion looking ones with little curve. they look great. it slides on the cap without much issue and no scratches. but i noticed that the band on the clip is not very tight on the cap. the clip is held in place on the cap by the actual clip arm pushing on the cap, if that makes any sense. looking from the side, you can tell that the whole set up is sort of free floating on the cap other than the pressure from the clip arm against the cap. and it looks funny.

i tried clipping it on the pocket. it clips fine, but it sticks out a bit. with my folder on the right pocket, i was going to carry the pen on the left pocket, but i know the cap will get scratched up unevenly in no time due to my watch band which is stainless steel. also, with the band on the clip being “free floating”, it will wear out the cap unevenly also, i think.

so, no clip.i took it off and shelf the clips. the pen is small enough that it will disappear in my pocket and doesn’t drop off. maybe i’ll change my mind later if what i carry in my pocket changes.
