I just got home from overseas today and took possession of my EWP-01. I installed the ink cartridge and found that it barely protrudes from the tip of the pen, definitely not enough to be a usable writing instrument. I cannot get this thing apart to access the adjustment screw. I’ve tried heating the pen and the end will just not budge at all. I really don’t want to take jawed tools to this thing. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I would think that Surefire would have adjusted the pen from the factory to work with the included ink cartridge. I was also a little disappointed that the stainless steel writing end tip is not concentric with the body of the pen; it’s noticeably off-center.
You can see how little of the tip sticks out in this photo. My new copper Investigator and new (to me) Beretta 86 were also waiting for me. It was a good day
The Beretta needs some new grips screws and I might get it refinished but it’s a bit of a rare model and I got a good deal on it locally.
