I think this must have been done before but couldn’t find it.

The Sprit has a perfectly adequate set of standard screwdrivers but the Leatherman bits have a broader flexibility for Torx, Hex bits etc.

Last night I was fiddling around with my Spirit and the Learherman Juice (and other models) bit adapter. This very nearly fits on the Spirit’s Philips driver. This morning, over coffee, application of a small file to the bit holder and, hey presto, it works.

The bit holder is surprisingly hard (well made Leatherman) so it took a while and careful filing but only a very shallow grove needs to be made. 30 mins while drinking coffee and waking up.

Surprisingly, it fits on the Spirit better than on the Juice. Snug with little movement (far less than the bit itself in the holder). Also, the mini mod doesn’t affect its use on Leatherman tools either.
