KeymasterHello everyone,
My go-to, have it on me every day without question knife/multitool is my Victorinox Deluxe Tinker. I have had it for about a year now and love it, but it is missing a saw. I didn’t think that I would ever need to have a saw blade on me but over the past couple weeks though I have found myself needing a small saw blade for yard work.
I have looked around at Victorinox knives with saws and the tool compliment of the Deluxe Tinker, but those add more tools than I really want (for now anyway). The swish champ has a lot of tools I don’t want, the Handyman doesn’t have a philips screwdriver (I use this a lot) and it has a corkscrew that I would never use, and the Craftsman comes close but I would like to keep the knife I already use instead of replacing, If possible. I really like having the small pliers on me and I use them a lot. I also have a couple Leatherlman’s that stay in the car and tool box, so I really don’t need to upgrade to a Swisstool. And after using the Deluxe Tinker’s pliers to change a car battery my fear of the pliers not being enough for any real work faded.
Thanks for reading all of my backstory, and now the questions. I have seen people who have modified SAK’s to their needs, and just wanted to know where I could get a saw added? I would also like to get the key chain loop removed, but I might just be getting picky. Is that possible as well? I have taken the actual loop off, but I would like the piece that the loop clips to removed to make the knife more streamline. Do you think it might be better to just buy the Craftsman and live with a new knife? I know this is just the worse idea
Thank you everyone
