Hey everybody. Hoping for some advice on handle material for the new Benchmade table knives. My brother and I are being gifted a set to split. Let’s not get into talk of price/overprice, value, etc. I am playing with house money.

      Going with stonewash CPM-154.

What handle material should we choose? Options are G10, Richlite, and Carbon Fiber (wood is an option but let’s take it off the table now). We plan on using them in kitchen or at camp as prep knives or possibly steak/dinner knives.

I don’t know too much about richlite. Some claims about being anti-bacterial. Seems interesting but thinking I want to stick to G10 or Carbon Fiber. 2 considerations for this:

      1. Grippiness, especially being a kitchen/prep/dining knife. Kinda thinking G10 wins out here but I am a :censored: for CF…
      2. Weight/balance. This seems like a toss up and possibly intangible not getting hands on the knife but wondering if CF is too light and will throw off balance otherwise G10 may be too heavy?

Overall, I am leaning towards G10, especially for $200 savings over the CF but the relative purchasing these for us would spring for it… Yes, we are blessed.

      Thanks again in advance.
