My first multitool mod!

So after carrying the Wingman and the Wave for a while, I came to the following conclusion:

The Wave is the perfect multitool in every regard except two:
1. The pliers are not spring loaded
2. The wire cutters are the overlapping kind

This conclusion was accompanied by a complimentary one:

The Wingman is a terrible, terrible multitool in every regard except two:
1. The pliers are spring loaded
2. The wire cutters are the anvil kind

Having nothing better to do with my time, I disassembled both tools and attempted to attach the Wingman plier head to the Wave handles. Unfortunately, the two are incompatible. Therefore, if I was to attain the “perfect” multitool, I would need to take the Wave tools and put them on the Wingman body.

Here is the result (so far):

So far, I’ve replaced the minuscule combo blade on the Wingman with the blade from the Wave, and I’ve added the scissors from the Wave as well. I’m also trying to find a cheap used Sidekick, cause I plan to use the saw and the small serrated blade from that one.

Thoughts?

Also, if anyone has a used Sidekick that they would be willing to part with, I’m willing to buy it.

In completely unrelated news, I have a bunch of tools and parts from the Wave. If anyone wants these for their own porpoises, I would be happy to sell.
