Finally got a carry gun, now I’m starting to look into beginning my collection of recreational guns (always with the knowledge that they could be much more than that).

I have a couple of questions:

First, why all the love for AR-15?
Second, Why build vs. buy?
Third, where do I start looking for one, or something comparable? I’m not looking for a hunting rifle, plenty of those available in my family.
