The last thread (it seems to have disappeared) was incredible display of the fine line police officers have to walk when trying to protect the public. The police officer in that video showed a concern, not only for the rights of the citizens who called to complain, but ultimately for the ‘protester’, as well.
In this audio recording we have a citizen who is walking down the street when he is stopped by a police officer because they’ve been receiving calls about someone walking with a gun. Within the first few moments the officer makes it aware that the only reason why the citizen is stopped is because he is carrying a gun. Listening to this interaction and how the person holds himself is a stark contrast when compared to the last protester, but what do you think? Good or bad?
(so few people actually say silent when they say they’re going to, it’s awesome that this guy did)
Here’s a great interaction by the same guy that really displays the importance of knowing your rights:
He’s released with only one question to the police supervisor on the scene.
I have to agree with this gentleman, I would not want my name associated with any stop like this unless it were necessary. Who knows, maybe down the road they store your name in a black list database.
