The LCP’s horrible trigger and lack of sights (yes, I know what the gun is for) finally got to me and I decided to trade it in. I went to my local Cabela’s with the intention of getting either the Sig P290 or the Beretta Nano. Well, they didn’t have the Sig, and I really liked the fit and finish of the Nano, so I went with that.
I took the gun to the range yesterday and put about 300 rounds through it. It was a mix of rounds, including Winchester white box 115gr, American Eagle 147gr flat nose, HydraShok’s and Gold Dots. The gun had zero malfunctions of any kind. The grip is a touch small and the gun is a little top-heavy. That being said, it shot very well, the gun is definitely more accurate than I am.
The included magazines are nice, but the last round can be a little stubborn sometimes. The gun is very easy to take down and clean. It points very naturally and has a decent enough sight picture for such low-profile sights. I’m hoping to see some night sights on it as well as new grip sleeves in the future. Beretta is claiming higher-cap mags are coming out. That would be fun for the range, but I think carrying anything other than the 6-rounders would defeat the purpose of this gun.
I have a holster on the way from PJholsters, a molded kydex job. We’ll see what it looks like.
Anyway, it’s a great gun so far, reliable, carries and shoots well.
