I had James at xd-hs2000.com do an install of the new Trijicon XD sights on my Springfield XD45c. James does thousands of these per year and the XD’s are notoriously tough when it comes to removing and install sights (the dovetails are really tight). I wanted a pro to do it.

James has a waiting list for the Orange Front HD’s because they are so popular and I was getting impatient because I was struggling to see my front sight and it was really starting to impact my shooting. So James gave me an alternative – SIG HD’s.

Evidently, the XD and XDm use the same dovetail as a Sig Sauer. The standard Sig sights #8 Front #8 Rear are the same as the “G” marked XD sights and are interchangeable. Added Bonus – the design of the Sig sights are easier to emergency rack than the rear swept XD versions.

James did a great job on the install and he was extremely patient with my questions and concerns. Not sure I can do it justice but here are some pics of the Sig sights on my XD 45 Compact. You be the judge but I’m very happy with how it turned out.
