Got my first spyderco. Caly 3 carbon fiber. Have to say im not super impressed. It is difficult to open quickly with my thumb. Ive never had a nice knife all ive owned was a made in china amazon special kershaw blur.

I think I prefer the size of the blur and how fast that blade opens. I bought this caly 3 because i wanted something nicer and fancier. Thought it would be smoother opening I suppose.

If i want a knife like the blur but doesnt have to be assisted what should i look for. Ill probably just get another blur… Im leaning towards a manix lightweight and the paramilitary 2. I dont like the idea of benchmades axis spring failing but they sure open smooth and fast. I dont want any blade with a safety on it.

Budget up to $150, at least 3″ blade, less than 4oz, less than .5″ thick.
