Hey guys, I just got a friends of mine Ontario Rat 1 to sharpen and I’m trying to figure out if the edge is right or not. It’s the combo edge knife and the plane edge portion I can’t tell if it’s suppose to be a 40 degree edge or a chisel grind. I think he may have gotten carried away on one side of it.

I don’t have a Rat 1 any more to compare it too. So hopefully someone will chime in. I’ll try to get some pictures of it so you guys can see what I’m working with.
