I bought a Gerber Moment folder with gut hook last year because I wanted an inexpensive, decent knife with gut hook for hunting. Overall I really like the blade, rubber scales and grip. However, I’ve used it maybe twice and the front to back movement is awful when the blade is “locked” open! The liner lock isn’t keeping the blade locked tight.

It makes me hesitate to keep using it.

So, the question is, is it worth it to send the knife back to Gerber? How is their warranty service? Decent enough? I don’t want to waste the money shipping it to them if they won’t really do anything.

What are your thoughts? (And yea I know gerber has QC issues, should have known better blah blah blah. I’ve had two other Gerber beaters with no problem. It just caught up with me!)
