My new EDC pen tryout: Faber Castell pocket pen silver. It was bought in a german departmentstore (last remaining departmentstorechain here) for 9 Euro;way cheaper than it is sold online. It will replace my Kaweco Sport fountainpen for a while, because i want to write waterproof when on the move, despite that regular waterbased ink is a way more pleasure to write with.

The Faber-castell is about the same size as the Kaweco Sport, but slimmer. From its size and style,it should play in the same league as the Fisher Space-pen or the Kaweco Liliput.

The logo is not printed or etched, but embossed. The little round button on the side is only there, to prevent rolling off the table,no other function.

The Kaweco is way better to hold and write when posted:

The reason why i dont exchange the Kaweco FP with the Ballpoint from Kaweco?

I wanted a pen, were i dont need two hands to remove the cap, when i walk around, holding a bag or a list in my other hand. The springloaded twistmechanic works good with one hand.
Would be nice if there would be a sidebyside comparison with Kaweco Liliput.

Impression: Solid overall feel and snappy twistmechanic. Except the missing clip, its a good pen for pocket carry.
I just wont recommend it for regular desk use, because of the slippy metal barrel and short size. But for quick notes several times a day,its OK.

    Zeppelin ahead!
