I posted this on another board, but it really belongs here where the keychain tool brainiacs reside. Just a very quick look at a couple of new offerings from Leatherman. The PS4 and Style mini-tools.
I love my multitools. I have them in all flavors and all sizes. Perhaps the most useful to me is the keychain sized EDC flavor of tool. I don’t swing a hammer or hang drywall all day, so I don’t need a full sized multitool on my belt. But having a mini tool in my pocket comes in mighty handy, because its always there when I need it.
When the PS4 and Style were released, I had to have one of each. I actually bought 4 of the PS4s for each of the Powernoodles (my boys love them) and a couple of Styles just because.

This one is awesome. Leatherman fans will know that it combines the scissor of the old S4 with the pliers of the P4, all on one tool. The new tool is slightly thicker, but its barely noticeable. The tradeoff is that the scissor on the PS4 is quite a bit smaller than that of the S4. But with both a scissor and pliers, one does now not have to choose between the P4 and S4. The blade, file, drivers, etc. seem to be the same or similar to those of the old models. Good stuff. I also prefer these versions over the Micra because the Micra’s tools are on the inside, requiring you to open it up with every use.

Leatherman Micra: all tools on the inside. No pliers. But its small, and a favorite of many.
