I’m interested in a budget multitool to give my son who is building a little ‘adventuring’ toolkit in one of my old EDC packs. If he keeps it without losing it long enough I’ll upgrade him to a nice name brand one. Thinking no more than $15 or $20.

I’ve seen

• Cabelas has one for $8
• Amazon Basics $14
• Ryobi $13
• Ozark Trail has several but staying away unless there’s a gem

I kinda like the shorter plier jaws on the Leatherman Crunch but between him and his sister they lose stuff like this too frequently to invest in a Leatherman just yet.
