My GHB is currently a Eberlestock Gunslinger. While it’s pretty darn comfy to carry, it also kind of bulky. I’m thinking about replacing it with a civilian looking bag, and I saw these bags on sale at Cabelas . I live in So Cal and have a 50 mile commute one way. I try to carry enough stuff that I can walk home if I need to if there is a giant earthquake. My walk included a trip from almost sea level to over 4k ft in elevation, so it’s not a day or two trip.

Here are the specs for the Kelty

    • Length: 22 in / 56 cm
    • Width: 16 in / 41 cm
    • Depth: 11 in / 28 cm
    • Volume: 2600 in3 / 43 L
    • Weight: 3 lb 6 oz / 1.5 kg
    • Suspension: Fixed
    • Torso Fit Range: One Size
    • Hipbelt Fit Range: 28 – 46 in. / 71 – 116 cm

Here are the specs on the Gunslinger

    Volume not incl. scabbard: 2200 c.i. [36L]
