I’m wondering what other people’s opinions are on the subject of CPR shields.

I’ve toyed with idea of either buying or making a couple of kits like the Tac-Pack. Reason being that my Boo-Boo Kit is more than adequate for the everyday injuries/annoyances, but thought it wouldn’t hurt to carry that little extra bit of kit so long as it was relatively compact and not terribly expensive.

I looked over the kit in the above link and the one piece that I knew nothing about was the included CPR face shield, so I wrote to the company and got a prompt and friendly reply from Dr. Maurizio Miglietta, president of the company. He told me that the brand/model of included mask was the CPR-Pro Guardtm.

I did a little bit of research and found that there are a lot of strongly held opinions (to say the least) regarding the usefullness of such a product.

Any thoughts?
