Well gents,
Today I received in the mail my new klarus xt2c 18650 light. I purchased it from battery junction and had it to my door for $56 and some change. And of course I got the free little key chain light.

First impressions:

Overall fit and feel of the light is nice, really like the dual switch end cap for mode selection, the pocket clip is meh at best and on par with all other manufacturers removable pocket clips. It did include a lanyard, spare gaskets, and a 2600 mah 3.7v 18650 battery.

Lighting her up:

So the light, according to klarus, is rated at 1100 lumens on high. As you all know, manufacturers have a tendency to exaggerate their numbers, but it still was surprisingly bright considering I first turned it on in my well lit living room. I haven’t had a chance to test in the darkness of night just yet, but I have high hopes. Now, I’m not a real light expert on beam patterns, color, etc. But I will say it seems to have a fairly tight center with a decent amount of spill. I was slightly disappointed to see it had an awfully blue hue to the beam compared to the lovely white natural beam of my Jetbeam wl-s4, but I think overall for the money, I will be happy with my purchase.
