So most of us carry a light in some form in a bag or on our person, but here’s a really handy tip (I can’t count how many times this has come in handy).
Here’s what I do; I buy one of those push button LED keychain lights. They’re cheap, you can get about a dozen of them on Amazon (or wherever) for about $4 bucks. Then I take one of them and hook it to the little keychain clip inside my EDC bag (most bags have them). Most of us (well, me anyway) never use this clip and it just floats around in our bag because it’s so light. It has no weight, and is usually just a piece of nylon with a clip on it. Mine bug me, so I want some weight on them…why not make it useful?
So what I do is clip one of these keychain LED’s to the clip (using a S-biner, or just directly). The trick is to leave the light easily accessible BUT INSIDE your bag. Next time you have to grab your bag in dim light, you can just grab this little light and turn it on to illuminate the inside of your bag (fully illuminate!). The light doesn’t bleed outside your bag, but you can see everything inside. It’s awesome, cheap, super functional and doesn’t weigh anything.
I use one in every bag I have. I call it my “bag light” (and this is its only function).
P.S. How many times have you tried to get something from deep inside your bag when you had to do it by feel…now you can do it by sight!
That is all.
