This is my first post as I just joined the forum yesterday. I want to start by saying that this looks like a great forum and I’m sure I’ll learn lots from you guys!

Now on to my issue. I just purchased a black Streamlight Nano and it’s a great little key-chain light. I’ve applied the plumbers tape trick to minimize the chance of it loosening and inadvertently turning on. However, often I’ve seen the LED flicker when grabbing the key-chain. The first few times I noticed it I double-checked that it was unscrewed enough to prevent being turned on.

I now know how to reproduce this issue. The Nano sits on my key-chain next to a titanium Tiremet capsule. If I purposefully brush the Nano against the Tiremet the LED flickers. Very repeatable. I assume that the brushing of the Nano against another metallic object is causing some some kind of voltage potential to build up and discharge, thus causing the LED to briefly flicker. Any thoughts?
