I’ve settled on this 2 pocket tethered arrangement for many years and I’m very happy with the basic system, but with some new additions the keyring itself is getting a little unruly and I think maybe I can do better.

If it’s not plain to see the S Biners clip onto a right and left belt loop and the chain goes in either front pants pocket. I like this general setup because 1. it’s almost impossible to lose my keys (an unfortunate experience in my youth on a date!) and 2. it’s really easy to get your keys or tools out by just hooking the chain with a finger and sliding everything right out of you pocket and into your hand in one smooth motion.

There are times I don’t want to carry everything and I will strip it down to just the necessities which for me is the detachable keyring part, the one with all the actual car and house keys, and that is the reason I’m reaching out for help. With 2 houses and 3 cars the rig is getting to be a real handful ;) . I hate a big messy wad of keys, and that’s what it’s becoming, I want my rig to fit neatly in the hand and the pocket. What I need to better organize specifically are the keys:

    1. Truck Key
    2. Car Key
    3. Other Car Key
    4. Club Key
    5. Other Club Key
    6. At least 3 House Keys, up to 5 if there’s a good way to do it.
    7. The 2 Key Fobs, the Acura NEEDS the fob for the alarm, the truck I can still open without it.

My gut tells me to go modular, detachable subsystems, maybe detachable clips or something? Thanks so much for your ideas and pointing me to products that might help me out!
